Came to America in 1847, landing in New York April 14. In July of the same year they came by canal as far as Buffalo, N. Y., and from there to Erie, Pennsylvania in a boat, then on foot to Irishtown, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. They eventually settled in Lake Township, Mercer Co,. Pennsylvania where they purchased a farm.
